NC5 Meetings

Santa Rosa Junior College is pleased to announce it is hosting the NC5 Spring 2007 meeting on Friday, March 30.
The conference will take place on the main campus in Santa Rosa. A focus will be the new Frank P. Doyle Library. This new, state-of-the-art library was designed from the ground up to take advantage of computer-driven multimedia capabilities. Computer labs, media production facilities and a wide range of advanced technological features have been built into this facility to reduce costs of operation and hopefully enhance student learning.
Unlike meetings held over the past several years, the host planning committee and NC5 Board are offering a format that focuses on collegial discussions rather than presentations.
The overall theme is “Technology in the Classroom: Lessons We Have Learned.” This meeting will be a symposium focused on two questions:
  1. What ways have you seen technology used to effectively improve learning?
  2. When is educational technology just not worth it?

 Where is the schedule?
  1. The schedule for the day can be downloaded here: NC5 Symposium.pdf
  2. SRJC’s Will Baty, Dean of Learning Resources and Educational Technology, and Russ Bowden, Manager of Media Services, will lead a private tour of the state-of-the-art library facilities immediately following the last session at 3 p.m.
How do I register?
  1. The registration form can be downloaded here: Registration Form-NC5.pdf

How much will this cost?
  1. $25, payable by check, if you register before March 26. Sorry, we’re not set up to accept credit cards or PayPal. You will not be listed as registered until your check is received.
  2. Late registration at the door will be $35.
  3. (Registration includes lunch and parking.)
Is there a cost break for Consortium member colleges?
  1. Not for this symposium.
How can I find out more information?
